He was also elected to the Rare Disease Advisory Panel of the Patient Centered Outcome Research Institute. Dr. Mathai has been invited to speak nationally and internationally on pulmonary topics, and his work has been published in numerous journals, including Chest, the American Journal of Respiratory and Clinical Care Medicine, The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, the Annals of the American Thoracic Society, and the European Respiratory Journal.
